Verdict

Spes Nostra and Masterpaver are closely matched on latest running at Lingfield when the former finished runner-up. Royal Marskell was only beaten a nose over track and trip last time but Silver Quay disappointed when favourite here in December having won his penultimate start by eight lengths. Brandon Castle is proving hard to win with but Le Rock is open to improvement this year as he looks for his first win. MUSIC MAN is also lightly raced having missed the whole of last term but he’s gone close in both starts so far this year. Jo Crowley's charge gets the vote to come good again in this.
