Verdict

Battalion has won four times here and Petite Jack has won five of his six previous starts on the track, though will need to up his game to land a race like this. Victory Bond beat BOYNTON (NAP) on similar terms at Chelmsford last month but had a fitness advantage over the Godolphin colt, who has since run well in this grade at Newmarket and can take his revenge today. Ayrad won in this grade at Sandown last year but is making his all-weather debut while Master The World has rather lost his way since a fourth at York in August.
