Verdict
Quite a tight affair, with Madrasee, Kathology and Cut And Dried shortlisted, with the vote going to Kathology. One of the keys to this race could be the course and distance affair that Madrasee won on January 4th. Basically, he is now three pounds worse off for the two lengths he finished in front of Cut And Dried that day, and five pounds worse off for the five-and-a-half lengths he beat Sir Ernest. With Cut And Dried not getting the run of things that day, and the winner seeing everything drop right, we might get a different outcome to day. Who knows? And if you work in literal Willieconquertoo form also, then Kathology, based on his latest run over course and distance, does not have too much to find with Madrasee either. All in all, it sets up an interesting contest, in which Madrasee must certainly be given all due respect. Like Kathology, Flymore is well weighted based on his best Turf form, but he has given little encouragement in that respect of late. Of the others, Adantino was unlucky not to win at Wolverhampton last time but looks opposable here, while today's trip might be on the short side for Pawan, and Blue Knight has a five-pound rise to overcome for his Wolverhampton success. This spins us back to the selection, which is Kathology.
