      Verdict

      The betting suggested Forbidden Planet had improved since last in action and he duly returned an easy winning favourite over track and trip a fortnight ago. But he’ll need to improve further as the handicapper has taken no chances and raised him 9lb while Maybe Today’s recent placed efforts have been over the longer trip of 1m4f and Family Fortunes has been thereabouts over a mile. Emenem and Voi look no nearer to getting their heads back in front so a chance is taken on SHEBERGHAN. Purchased in November having won a maiden for Dermot Weld in Ireland, he’s been gelded since finishing runner-up in a valuable handicap at Down Royal and Archie Watson’s new charge has plenty of scope for further progress.
