Oceans Edge needs a market check but at this stage preference is for COPPER KING ahead of Bollywood Style. Our selection won well last time with a sustained effort to lead inside the final furlong. That was a bad race and he steps up in class but the six-year-old remains well enough handicapped off just 3lbs higher, whilst his running style is suited to this track. Providing they go a decent pace up front further success may await for this versatile and in-form animal, who gets the nod from Bollywood Style. John Best's mare has paid the price for her consistency and remains 5lbs higher than her last winning mark but this is arguably less competitive than some of the races she's contested lately, whilst her sole career success came over course and distance. Oceans Edge is a handicap debutant representing a yard that can land a gamble so a market check is essential, although at first glance this rating of 60 wouldn't appear overly generous. A more solid proposition therefore might be Dancing Welcome who has remained in good form since her win in November, one that has been franked in no uncertain terms by the runner up. Charlie Delta has won at this trip but we feel he's better suited by sprints and Suhayl Star is the type that needs everything to drop right. Cavalry Guard's last win came off a very lowly mark so his claims look to be each way at best, whilst Elusive Ronnie needs gaps and is another who might do better at six furlongs. This is a tricky contest but we'll take Copper King to rule them all.
