      Verdict

      A chance is taken on VALE OF IRON finally losing his maiden tag stepping up in trip for this having slipped down the weights this year. He finished well ahead of Castle Talbot when fourth over 1m2f here last time. Silver Lining has had plenty of chances off similar marks and came up short again at Kempton last time while Fleetwood Poppy went close over track and trip in October but has disappointed since. Art Charter is lightly raced and may yet be capable of better with last week's belated comeback run at Wolverhampton under her belt.
