        Verdict

        This is a terrific fillies handicap and having narrowed it down to Selma, Seasons Estates, Manic and Soft Focus, we will nominate Soft Focus. Jamie Osborne's daughter of Spectrum is improving with each outing and having been beaten by Angel River the time before, reversed that form easily next time out. With further progression expected she would go close here off a very nice racing weight. Selma also hit winning form last time, beating Giant's Rock over the mile trip here. She does have to shoulder top-weight today but should still be capable of taking a hand in the finish. Season's Estates hasn't raced since taking a nursery her in October, but is still nicely handicapped and could go well if fit. Manic finished a decent third behind Worth Abbey last time and looks best of the remainder, but Soft Focus looks one step ahead of the handicapper and just edges the decision.
