Verdict

Mr Scaramanga ended a long losing run when returning the shock 20/1 winner over a mile here last time with Sea Fox back in sixth. He’s only 2lb higher today but the shorter trip may prove more of a problem and Confrontational is preferred having won three of his last five starts in Ireland including over today’s trip at Dundalk last month and having his first outing for new connections today. Fuwairt won a lower grade contest at Kempton recently while AREEN HEART (NAP) ran way below par at Wolverhampton last time. But David O’Meara’s charge had gone close in Class 2 company on a couple of occasions before that including when second over track and trip ahead of Swift Approval and he gets a chance to prove his latest running all wrong.
