Verdict
Petite Jack has won seven times in 15 starts around here including a Listed contest in December 2017. He has a 6lb penalty for last week's comfortable victory and looks certain to go well again though FIRE FIGHTING, who won this last year, was only three lengths behind and returning from a long break. Mark Johnston's charge, 13 times a winner, is taken to go in again though Amazing Red, who won a Class 2 handicap at Newmarket in the summer, was also returning from a break when fourth at Wolverhampton earlier this month. Exceeding Power was awarded a race here last month after finishing second to Petite Jack. Martin Bosley's charge has the better of the weights here and it will be a surprise if he isn't there at the finish. Oasis Fantasy was having only his second all-weather start when scoring here in September, though that was a Class 4 handicap.
