    Verdict

Despite carrying a six pounds penalty PIAZZA SAN PIETRO can complete a hat-trick by taking this competitive handicap ahead of Compton Classic and Good Humoured. The previous two wins for the pick have come in plating class but given that he is in such good form and his mark looks fair enough for his handicap bow we'll take the chance on him. Also in the selection's favour is that one of his nearest rivals Compton Classic has seen his mark go up despite defeat last time. That takes Jim Boyle's consistent performer to seven pounds above his last winning mark and while it looks on the prohibitive side he should still go well. Good Humoured will need to improve from his last run off this mark, which was his debut in these ranks. Sir Mark Prescott's runners are in better form now so this one should figure. Rondeau is the only other we'd throw into the mix now at a more realistic rating but with that mark still three pounds heavier than the last time that one scored, Piazza San Pietro should be able to capitalise.
