In depth

Verdict

Irish Heartbeat was long odds-on over 7f here on Tuesday but was last of five behind Homeboy, beaten more than four lengths. You could argue that he has every chance of reversing the form with the winner on 6lb better terms but he's proving very hard to win with. David Evans has his string in good order so we'll stick with DARK LANE, who won a claimer at Kempton earlier this month. Both the second and fourth have franked the form this week. Athaakeel won a Wolverhampton handicap last time but faces a stiff task at the weights here.
