In depth

Verdict

It's very difficult to fault the recent form of Club House, who did well to beat Jodies Jem over course and distance 12 days ago and again has 7lb claimer Robert Tart in the saddle. Tight Knit was only beaten half-a-length over a slightly longer trip at Wolverhampton last time and could figure if blinkers bring about a little improvement while Hipster will strip fitter for last month's run at the Midlands track, his first since September. King George River arguably has more scope than his rivals and makes more appeal than the returning Blue Wave but is giving 10lb to SHERINN. Roger Varian's filly comfortably justified favouritism in a maiden over 7f on her latest outing and another step up in trip looks a natural progression.
