Verdict

Royal Birth won last year’s renewal with Boom The Groom back in fourth though neither were a match for ORVAR at Wolverhampton a fortnight ago. The latter has now won both starts on the all-weather and his latest success came after undergoing a wind operation last month. There may well be more to come from Paul Midgley’s new charge and he’s taken to get the better of Gracious John despite the unfavourable terms. David Evans’ sprinter has struggled since beating Tomily at Wolverhampton in December but it would be no surprise if he bounced back in this. Encore d'Or is another capable of better than he showed at Meydan last month and Ryan Moore partnered him to victory at Doncaster last year but Brother Tiger and Karijini have plenty to find on these terms.
