Verdict

This could prove to be an above-average maiden with several runners representing powerful connections and open to plenty of improvement. Kazawi only beat one home on his Newbury debut but gave notice he’ll be a force to be reckoned with once he gains experience. Lethal Impact finished just ahead at Newbury but had had the benefit of a previous run. Cross Step was second at Windsor earlier this month but we prefer Godolphin’s other runner, GLASSY WATERS. Josie Gordon rides this US-bred son of Distorted Humour who, despite a tardy start, looked likely to win at Leicester on his debut until a lack of experience told in the closing stages. Humble Hero is a big danger, however, as he was also slowly away when second at Haydock last month and is sure to have learned from that.
