In depth

Verdict

White Bear, Bodden Bay and Patternmaker are three against the field in this competitive opener and the vote is given to Bodden Bay. The selection was a good second behind Spark Up last time out. That form has since been franked and from a good draw and off the same mark he will be hard to beat.White Bear rates the main danger as he won well last time out when beating the selection. However he looks vulnerable under his penalty and for that reason is opposed. Patternmaker is another last time out winner that could go well but he has been done no favours by the draw. Miskina has dropped to a handy mark and could go erll at s price but in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Bodden Bay.
