        Verdict

        Evanesce is the pick over King After, with Transaction and Iceni Warrior others worth a mention. Mick Channon is always a man to be feared with his juveniles and you can be sure that Evanesce will be fully tuned up. The daughter of Lujain holds an entry in the Weatherbys Super Sprint at Newbury in July and if she is to make that date, then victory here at the first time of asking is a requirement. Apart from Joe Ninety, the rest are newcomers as well, and it is impossible to gauge the merits of the likes of King After and Transaction although neither would have to anything special to be in the shake-up. Bets are best kept to a minimum, but Evanesce, who can make the most of her sex allowance, and Sam Thomas's claim, is nominated as the one to be on.
