        Verdict

        Climate, Didn't Tell My Wife and Zafarshah form our shortlist here with the selection being Didn't Tell My Wife. Didn't Tell My Wife is a course and distance winner and, given that Lisa Jones offsets by three pounds the four that he has risen for winning here in December, that makes him competitive following a seasonal pipe-opener 22 days ago. Turning to the others. Omaha City has a great chance if returning to the best of his form of two years ago but recent efforts have been uninspiring. Rebate looks vulnerable at a trip short of that achieved in his sole win. Climate has never won a handicap but has form enough to feature here if at his best. Also, he has won over course and distance and comes here in very good heart following a very good second at Kempton last time. Taken at face value, a repeat of that run gives him a very good chance today. Laura Pike got a winning tune out of Free Options last time but this race is tougher. German winner Millenio is hard to assess so pay all due respect if there is a market move for him. Estimation is now rated just a pound higher than for his most recent win but recent efforts have been modest, but Zafarshah, who is also a course and distance winner, comes here on the back of a good second at Bath and, racing from the same mark today, commands respect. Spindor has place claims if at his recent best but, once again, from the shortlist of possibles that we have drawn up, the selection is Didn't Tell My Wife.
