Verdict
Sotik Star is given the nod in this interesting maiden, with Nawaadi, Reload and Chasing A Dream others for the short list. The selection was off the course from last October until August, when Richard Mullen partnered him to a pleasing return over this trip at Newmarket. He has been given time to recover from that and with the outing under his belt he can improve to take this, with plenty of improvement still to come. Chasing A Dream returns to the track after an absence of over three months and Barry Hills will be hoping to see more from her, after she did not really come on for her Yarmouth debut. She is an interesting contender, however, if straight enough. Reload was understandably green on his Kempton debut last month and we expect to see a fair bit more this time, while Nawaadi has not been disgraced in a trio of defeats and can again go well here, although a longer trip may elicit more improvement. But Sotik Star came back well from an absence last time and can get his nose in front here.
