In depth

Verdict

Lysander's Quest can get recent losses back at the expense of Coda Agency, with Primondo and Salut Saint Cloud taken to chase him home. Lysander's Quest was fancied at Kempton three weeks ago, but for the second time in succession, found Ganymede too good. He was badly hampered a furlong out, but would probably have still only been runner-up. However, he has won round here in the past, and with one of the best amateurs, Simon Walker, on board, he is taken to gain compensation. Coda Agency is still a maiden, but has shaped well since being stepped up in trip of late, and appears reasonably weighted, while Primondo benefited from the fitting of a visor to open his account at Warwick in August and lines up after a two-month break. Salut Saint Cloud has had two runs over timber of late so should be fit enough on his return to the Flat, with the trainer's daughter Hayley in the plate. Lake Wakatipu is useful when not highly tried, so is another with place claims, but Lysander's Quest is the one to beat.
