        Verdict

        A run of the mill affair to end proceedings with top-weight Nod's Nephew upped in trip to ten furlongs for the second time in his career. Mark Tompkins' Retirement is another to step up in trip and on racecourse evidence, this looks to be very much the ticket. He is speculatively given as the Teamtalk selection for this race. Don't expect to see him early doors though as he is likely to be held up again. Lingfield Park regulars, Sammy's Shuffle, Reachforyourpocket and Little Fox reoppose again while of the remainder, Shaman, who finished eight lengths behins subsequent Goodwood winner, Tissifer, and Northside Lodge (a winner of two starts this season) make appeal.
