Verdict
The three recent winners could fight out the finish here, Resonate, Piri Piri and Zalkani, and we will side with the last named. Brendon Powell's four-year-old has in fact landed a claimer and handicap over course and distance, on both occasions winning with a little bit in hand. He has risen up the weights but could still be ahead of the handicapper and is a confident choice. Resonate also won over course and distance, beating The Violin Player by a comfortable length and a half and should again be thereabouts under the talented Philip Makin. Piri Piri displayed improved form to get up over nine furlongs at Wolverhampton earlier this month and if that was no fluke should agin be concerned in the finish. Bank On Him has been knocking on the door recently and should also play a part, but Zalkani is at the top of his game and will be hard to stop in his hat-trick bid.
