reared and hampered start, always behind
chased leaders, driven to challenge well over 1f out, soon outpaced
mid-division, ridden over 2f out, soon beaten
led 1f, remained prominent, led again 2f out, soon ridden, headed inside final furlong, soon outpaced
tracked leaders, driven to lead inside final furlong, ran on well
held up towards rear, outpaced halfway, headway over 1f out, never on terms
Salt Of The Earth can pick up the prize with the principle dangers appearing to be Mister New York and Bussell Up. Salt Of The Earth looks best in on official figures and while it was an obvious disappointment that he couldnt get the job done at prohibitive odds at Kempton, he could be worth chancing again at today's terms. Mister New York didnt do a lot wrong in handicap company last time out. Connections will have been disappointed that their rider was unable to do the weight last week as it could have tipped the difference but there was plenty of positivity to be gleaned from that event. Bussell Up was easy to back at Kempton last week and while not winning that engagement, she went into many notebooks as she stayed on steadily. Extreme North could be of some interest if there is any money seen for him. Tiara Boom De Ay raced once for Richard Hannon and makes a belated return to the track for David Wintle. Flemish Art didnt show a lot on debut - its impossible to believe that this well bred individual is as bad as that form figure reads. Salt Of The Earth is hardly a mortgage job on paper but he won't get too many easier opportunities than this.
