In depth
Verdict
Royal Bandit showed plenty of speed on his Kempton debut last week and, with Frankie Dettori taking over from an inexperienced apprentice, looks worth backing to go one better at the main expense of the more exposed pair of Cool Sting and Kellys Dream. The last mentioned has only had the two starts so far and improved on her debut effort when chasing home Total Impact at Wolverhampton last time. Roger Charlton's Burning Incense would need to have improved from two to three to take a hand, while Danish Blues has given little cause for optimism of late. Cool Sting has claims on the pick of his form but is proving somewhat expensive to follow and a better bet looks to be Royal Bandit, who had some reliable yardsticks well behind at Kempton last week and should be good enough to go one better today judged by that effort.
