      Verdict

      Loki's Revenge won a shade cosily at Kempton a fortnight ago and should have the beating of runner-up Forty Proof once again. He's a leading contender but may struggle to get the better of the progressive PIPPA'S GIFT. Willie Muir's colt is still learning his trade judged by the way he recovered from a slow start to win his maiden at Kempton recently, so with further improvement likely and a 7lb claimer on board, he is taken to score on his handicap debut. Steps doesn't look quite as progressive but could still figure.
