Verdict

This track may not play to Ghufa's strengths and there are some doubts about Blushing Soul's mark so a chance is taken with KING'S MAJESTY in preference to Shannersburg. Ghufa has been a decent money spinner for his connections winning four times on the all-weather but all of his victories have been achieved at Wolverhampton and he may not prove as well suited by this circuit. Blushing Soul is the pick at the weights in this field but that rating is based on his form in Ireland and the mark may well flatter him. He's having his first run for a new yard having failed to impress over hurdles. Shannersburg is quickly dropped in grade by his current connections and he will certainly find this easier than the handicap he contested at Kempton earlier in the month. Acropolis doesn't always find a great deal when he comes off the bridle but he comes here in decent form and has made the frame on both runs at the track so he figures prominently but preference is for King's Majesty. He has been struggling over hurdles but has never finished out of the money in six visits to this track and he's entitled to be in the thick of the action again.
