Crystal Pool had shown very little sign of ability before a surprise short-head victory at Gowran for which she’s been hit with a 9lb rise. SPRING MORNING improved with each run last season and made a very encouraging reappearance on her handicap debut at Tipperary. She’s surprisingly been dropped 2lb and there should be more to come so she can get off the mark. Praying Mantis scored over this trip at Gowran and wasn’t right when failing to last out 1m2f at Cork so has to be respected. Slieve Bearnagh has won over 7f but is probably better over a bit further than this these days while St George’s Head has gained both career victories at Dundalk.
