In depth

Verdict

Glenstal Abbey jumped well enough to gain a debut success over fences at Tipperary in July and will find plenty of support but he has to concede 11lbs to the four-year-old KOTKIDY and that may prove beyond him. Henry De Bromhead's charge, the winner of a Listed hurdle at Auteuil last year, made a winning debut over the bigger obstacles at Killarney in May and has had just one subsequent run over hurdles. He looks a nice prospect as does Statu, who made a winning start over fences at Killarney. None of the remaining trio are out of this and it should provide some interesting pointers for the coming months.
