The impeccably-bred ADESTE FIDELES (NAP) only ran once last year, finishing fifth in a Listed race at Naas. She was an expensive failure on her reappearance at Gowran but was entitled to need that outing and should go one better here as she is far less exposed than the likes of Duchess Andorra, Mozetta and Tirghra. Comtesse is interesting, however, as she wasn't beaten far in a couple of starts over this trip at Leopardstown in June and, like the selection, will be worth a small fortune as a broodmare if she can win a race or two. The others make little appeal with two of them, El Dem I and Red Riding Hood, seeing a racecourse for the first time.
