In depth

Verdict

TED VEALE (NAP) has been in excellent form over hurdles and fences since reappearing after a long break and will think he's been let loose with this weight, especially with Oisin Orr's claim to aid his cause. He won over 1m6f at this meeting in 2015 and can go in again, though Ibsen is an obvious danger. Gordon Elliott's charge reappeared after over a year's absence to land an amateurs' race at Tipperary and, with just 5lb extra to contend with, should make the frame. The three-year-old Ringside Support makes his handicap debut after landing a Curragh maiden though he's never faced this kind of ground while Nanabad has been looking a couple of pounds high in the weights.
