Verdict

Supporting a three-year-old carrying the maximum weight in an all-aged handicap, especially one wearing first time blinkers, looks an easy way to the poor-house but BIG OCCASION can buck the trend. Aidan O'Brien's Sadler's Wells colt looked very green when making most for his maiden success over this trip but the placed horses both won their subsequent starts and the winner can only improve. Crowning Moment has found it tough from her new mark after her victory at Killarney and Rock Medley may prove a bigger threat as he has been staying on strongly over shorter and should be suited by today's distance. Karma showed promise last season but finished well beaten on her return at Killarney in July and is best watched for now while Park Ranger was raised 10lbs for his success at Fairyhouse and failed to cope when strongly fancied at the Curragh subsequently.
