Verdict

Cornerkova beat Ferdia four lengths at Clonmel in June before being left clear in a Tipperary handicap then falling at the first at Killarney. The latter, who has had eight races subsequently, beating three rivals at Tramore last month, was conceding 7lb so should in theory reverse the form on these terms though was beaten a long way at Sligo on Wednesday. Whosgotyanow was having just his second start over fences when making all at Killarney but dual hurdles winner Barnacullia makes his chasing bow in what looks a strong event as does Mattie's Mountain. CHEMICAL ENERGY, twice a winner over timber and in bumpers, started a short-priced favourite on his chasing bow at Kilbeggan in April and though disappointing will have learnt from the experience and the race has worked out well.
