Verdict

Indian Hawk went for £110,000 at the sales after landing a point at Tabley in May by 30 lengths. He's joined Nicky Henderson and is one to note though this this looks a better than average maiden. Kilfilum Cross also arrives straight from winning between the flags while Aaron Lad showed promise in Ireland, though has so far failed to fire for new connections. Victarion did very well in bumpers considering he's bred to be a staying chaser though, like winning bumper Chato, he has a long absence to overcome. Copper West started favourite for his hurdling debut at Southwell but found the minimum trip too short and should do better as should Spider's Bite, who hasn't been beaten far in decent races at Aintree and Haydock. Winning point-to-pointer The Dellercheckout should be ideally suited by stepping up to this trip while Young Phoenix showed major improvement over 3m1f at Hereford, though that was on good ground. Jet Set has been running well and should get into the action with her allowance but the vote goes to PECULIAR PLACES (NAP), who won a Hereford bumper in the style of a smart recruit.
