Verdict
EXITAS looks to have as good a chance as any in a wide-open handicap. He won three out of four in the autumn culminating in a Listed handicap at Ascot and though having no answer to Divine Spear on a return visit last month the winner looks useful and the remainder were well beaten. Tree Of Liberty makes his chasing debut on his first start for Kerry Lee and may just need this. Joueur Bresilien couldn't hold off Robinshill over the course and distance in November though should be losing his maiden tag soon but Master Of Verse never fulfilled early promise shown in Ireland but has joined Venetia Williams. Sister Sybil, a winning bumper and dual hurdles winner, has shown real potential in both starts over fences, fading over longer trips after looking a likely winner. Nightfly had shown promise on a couple of occasions over timber so it was a surprise to see him start 20/1 for his chasing debut at Southwell where he won with some authority. A 6lb rise doesn't look enough to prevent another big run. Copain De Classe won a bumper and two novice hurdles before a reasonable start over fences at Ascot while Little Chunk has also done very well over timber and has a nice pedigree for jumping fences.
