In depth

Verdict

Regal Renaissance looked set for second place when left in the lead at the last hurdle here back in December and has had wind surgery since. But HEROS ran his best race since joining Venetia Williams’ yard when beaten a length at Doncaster and he gets the vote to go one better. Hardy Fella also found one too good at Wincanton and makes his handicap debut while Norley remains 5lb higher than when scoring on good ground at Southwell at the end of last year.
