Verdict
Gaius won over 1m2f on the Flat but didn’t appear to last home on his first try over hurdles at Musselburgh and is held by Exeter winner Romancero Le Dun and Newcastle runner-up Ring Of Beara on collateral form. The latter will be fancied to go one better than at Gosforth Park but Kempton scorer ADMIRALTY HOUSE is unlikely to go down without a fight as he was clear of the remainder when trying to give Fils De Roi 7lb at Huntingdon last time.
