Both The Cockney Mackem and KELLS BELLE showed enough on their respective hurdling debuts to suggest they'll be winning soon but the latter will probably be more at home on this quicker ground than Nigel Twiston-Davies' gelding, who already looks as though he'll need more of a stamina test in time. Lobby Ludd has hinted at ability in a couple of starts but, like the selection's stablemate Flowerdew, may need more experience and none of the others make any appeal on what they've shown so far.
