In depth
Verdict
The well-related Regal Leader can go in first time, with Penny Blue, Supreme Missile and Oscar Foxbow out to stop him. Oliver Sherwood is hoping to make up for a quiet time last season, and hopes are high that Regal Leader can pay to follow. He is a half-brother to several winners, both on the Flat and over jumps, including Supreme Leader, and has by all accounts schooled well at home. In truth he has been found an easy opportunity here to show what he is made of, with none of those that have been out so far looking anything special. Bumper winner Penny Blue was beaten out of sight on a follow-up mission, and Supreme Missile has not been seen since falling in a point-to-point in March. Oscar Foxbow has shown a bit of form on two starts to date and may be worth considering for a place as well, but Regal Leader need not be anything out of the ordinary to oblige and is the final selection on the card.
