In depth

Verdict

A field of newcomers does not make the ideal getting-out stakes but there are some nice prospects facing the starter. Doddiethegreat, a half-brother to bumper and hurdles winners, is near the top of the list and Gala De Corton is a half-brother to the smart Black Corton though like Not Sure, who is a full brother to stayer Ballycasey, will likely need further. FAST GETAWAY looks a likely sort as he’s an €82,000 half-brother to a couple of useful hurdlers and from a yard that do well in this sphere. Winter Glory is also worth a market check with Flat speed in his pedigree.
