Verdict
Kohinor looks the percentage call in this big field of mares with Ostfanni and Very Special One rated the biggest dangers. The selection showed promise in bumpers last term prior to a couple of encouraging runs over hurdles this season, latterly behind the useful Woodlands Genpower at Towcester and she looks to be the one they all have to beat. Lady of Scarvagh has claims on the pick of her form and strictly has the beating of Ishka Baha on running behind Lady Zephyr at Newbury last month although there should not be much to choose between the two on running that day. Kim Bailey's Very Special One is probably the least exposed of these after just one run in a bumper so far and she warrants respect, especially with her stable back among the winners again. Anything that Venetia Williams sends out has to be given consideration so Triggerlino is another worthy of a mention along with the Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained Dedrunknmunky. Martin Todhunter's Ostfanni has been given a break since her third behind Roman Ark at Carlisle in November and she is another worthy of a mention but the vote goes to Kohinor, who is taken to fulfil earlier promise.
