Verdict

THOMAS BROWN has been highly tried since winning at Aintree just over a year ago. He was in touch when falling at Ascot last month and has now dropped to a very winnable mark. Winning bumper and hurdler Monbeg Charmer was having only his second start over fences when making all over the course and distance last month. He's gone up 5lb but this is a similar class event and he'll be difficult to peg back. Battle Of Shiloh won a novices' handicap at Newcastle a year ago and has been highly tried subsequently while Relentless Dreamer can go well. He came here for a similar race over the slightly longer trip a fortnight ago and was in the lead until outpaced on the run-up. It's A Gimme looked on the way back to form at Chepstow but his last victory was in 2014.
