Verdict

The Michael Mullineaux-trained Phoenix Eye is a consistent performer and should be thereabouts again but he has not won for some time and may be best watched in a race taken to go to LODGICIAN. Nigel Twiston-Davies, who trains the selection, can do little wrong with his runners at present and the eight-year-old looks worth another chance despite being 9lb higher than when scoring at Stratford in August having run well in a couple of outings since then. Michael Chapman's Skye But N Ben is likely to find this tougher than the seller that he won over course and distance last time, while Liberty Seeker is now 10lb higher than when scoring at Market Rasen two outings ago and was well held at the same venue recently. Halling Gal probably needs some assistance from the handicapper.
