In depth

Verdict

In a very modest contest Elverys is given a sporting chance, with Aces Four and Finely Tuned also expected to run well. Richard Fahey's seven-year-old showed plenty of promise on only his second outing over hurdles when fourth behind the progressive Bougoure. He should come on a bundle for that run and looks the best option this afternoon. Aces Four is well exposed but has put in some decent efforts behind some top performers including Rasharrow. He does look to have sound place claims. Mark Pitman's Finely Tuned is another to consider for place purposes having earned a rating of 115 last year. The pick of the remainder could be Nicky Henderson's once raced Keswick, but Elverys looks to have the strongest form on show and gets a narrow vote.
