Ambersong can add to his list of three course-and-distance wins in the claiming hurdle, while Made In France and Desert Spa also make it onto the shortlist. Ambersong was raised in class last time out and found that race too hot, but he had previously won a similar event to this race over course-and-distance in February. That was on fast ground and he is obviously suited by this course, so is a confident selection to bounce back to winning ways. Made In France was 43 lengths behind Ambersong in that race here and was pulled up on his most recent outing at Stratford. The Martin Pipe-trained gelding appears to have lost his way and is well held by Ambersong on the Ludlow form from February. Desert Spa is perhaps the biggest danger to our selection. He won a couple of sellers last summer and was not disgraced in better company last time out at Hereford. However, Ambersong is our confident selection based on his recent, fast-ground, course and distance win.
