Verdict
Diamond Monroe has shown enough to warrant support despite topweight, with Sloane Street and Killalongford also in with chances. Diamond Monroe made his debut behind stablemate Saitensohn in soft ground at Newbury 12 months ago, and the closest he has come to opening his account since is when second in a ladies' race at Newton Abbot three weeks ago. His powerful stable have yet to really get going despite the victory of Fondmort, but should be followed from now on, and as Diamond Monroe is back up in trip, confidence will high that he can find that elusive first win. Sloane Street was well held when a beaten favourite at Plumpton last time and needs to come down the weights, while ex-Irish Killalongford, the mount of Richard Johnson, showed his first worthwhile form when staying on over this trip at Worcester. Ella Falls comes from an in-form yard, and What You Know, successful over a shorter trip here the time before last, is another to consider with ground conditions in his favour. Although yet to fulfil his potential, Diamond Monroe can defy topweight here.
