In depth

Verdict

Leg problems delayed HURLING MAGIC’s debut under Rules but he finished a creditable second to the progressive Jay Bee Why on last month’s hurdling bow. That looks stronger form than Master Templar’s placed effort at Stratford in November so Nicky Henderson’s charge gets the vote. Fontana Ellissi showed improved form in a bumper at Kempton last time and is preferred to both Crecerelle and Minella Royale on his first start over timber while Trooper Jones has placed in a point-to-point.
