In depth

Verdict

Rock On Tommy won twice at Uttoxeter in July but has looked in the handicapper’s grip since. Princess T has also gone off the boil while Moonshine Spirit has proved expensive to follow. Jubilee Gold made a winning start for Richard Newland in a Fakenham maiden but that was in May of last year. Tony Martin’s ALPHONSE LE GRANDE attracted significant support at Sligo in June and placed for the first time over timber. Twice a winner on the all-weather, he can recoup losses today ahead of the recent Taunton runner-up Breaking Cover.
