In depth

Verdict

A very interesting maiden featuring, among others, three useful winners from the Flat. Time Interval and Dundory are worth a market check but Nathanael Greene could prove the pick of the trio. He won at Chepstow and Haydock when trained by William Haggas and is still rated 87 on the level. Imperial Saint won a point in the spring while Gentleman Jacques finished ahead of Prairie Diamond when third at Hereford on his hurdling debut. Jonjo O’Neill trained the winner that day and runs the promising Mersey Street in this but THE FAMOUS FIVE, third over 2m5f here on his reappearance, has his sights lowered and, with his yard in great form, can come good back over 2m.
