Verdict

Swingkeel was a thorough stayer on the level but became disappointing last year and it remains to be seen if this sparsely-made gelding will take to hurdling. A more reliable option is BUCK MULLIGAN, who returned from a lay-off to beat Round Tom by eight lengths at Wincanton with the useful On Trends a further four lengths away in third. Evan Williams' charge will probably be back over fences soon but can take this en route. Reginaldinho, a winner twice on the Flat in Germany for Manfred Hofer, made a promising start over hurdles when fourth to Iolith at Taunton and should appreciate this longer trip while Simply Wings was well backed when second in a handicap at Hereford earlier this month but may again find at least one too good here.
