Verdict
A competitive start to proceedings. Captain Swift made a winning debut over timber at Sedgefield and has plenty of scope. John Mackie also runs Keep Calm but he was beaten almost six lengths behind COUNTERSIGN over track and trip last month. The latter is 7lb worse off but was eased down in the closing stages and should confirm the form. He is also fancied to get the better of multiple winner Storm Of Swords, who has to concede 14lb, and Set The Trend. David Dennis' nine-year-old is a hard-puller but is best going right-handed.
