In depth

Verdict

PHARE ISLE will go up by more than the 7lb penalty he has to carry here for his facile victory at Huntingdon last week and should have few problems following up. Mawaqeet won nicely at Stratford and, providing there's no more rain, he has to be considered the main threat with Jonathan England's claim a bonus. Un Noble was having only his fourth start over timber when landing a Newcastle handicap in good style though a 13lb rise looks harsh, but don't be surprised by a better effort from Run On Sterling if the ground dries out.
